Description of the situation

The condominiums under analysis, built between 1986 and 1992, are located in Via X Giornate, 17-19-21-25-31 in Ghedi (BS). The condominiums have 4 floors above ground and a basement used as cellars and garages.

The Gregotti condominium is a project designed by the renowned architect Vittorio Gregotti, from whom it takes its name.

The building envelope, that encloses the thermal zones being calculated, is composed of horizontal and vertical components. The horizontal components are characterized by the floors of the housing units on the ground floor, towards the basement used as cellars and garages.

The vertical components are characterized by a perimeter masonry with plaster finish composed of a wall with a double layer of brick with an internal brick plank of 8 cm and an external one of 12 cm, insulated in the cavity with 4 cm panels in seasoned expanded polystyrene. The building envelope is also characterized by wooden windows with double glazing.

The heating system serving the heating and domestic hot water of the individual housing units is characterized by an autonomous system with wall-hung methane boilers placed inside the individual apartments. The distribution system is placed inside the heated environment, the emission system is represented by radiators.
